Meet Stacey Lalande
Photographer, Instructor | Creative Director
Stacey picked up her first camera at the age of 12 and emptied her piggy bank on 110 film and flash cubes. She took pictures all the time. Of anything. Of everything.
Once in high school, Stacey inherited/stole her father’s Pentax K1000 and it stayed around her neck until after graduating from Fanshawe College in 1995. At Fanshawe, Stacey majored in Commercial Photography and minored in Digital Imaging. Darkroom printing and photo theory were her favourite classes. The past two decades has found Stacey refining her skills through various forms of art – from acrylic painting to making videos. Enjoying the challenge of continuing her education, Stacey has been sharing her knowledge of the craft through teaching photography classes at Cambrian College and her own series of photography workshops. These have been an amazing source of information and inspiration to her over the last 12 years of instructing. Still in love with taking photos, Stacey’s portfolio contains fine art photography, still life, portraiture, wedding and commercial photography. In her spare time, Stacey maintains her ‘inner nerd’ as she enjoys figuring out how things work and reading books on astronomy. Her favourite people are her boyfriend and her son.
